COMMUNITY GROUPS

Doing Life Together

Have you ever experienced a Community Group?  Growing in your faith with a group of people who are learning alongside you while praying for you, serving, having fun, and doing life together is what

Community Groups are all about.

Connected

Community

We have been created to live in community and not in isolation. Physically, we do live in a community, but spiritually, socially, and relationally we often live our lives in isolation. We find ourselves with no one to turn to when we have a major issue surface in our lives, and no one to celebrate with when life needs celebrating!  Living in community gives us the opportunity to more fully experience God through close relationships with others, learning to live out our faith to reflect Jesus as we do life together.

"Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.  And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds,  not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching."

Hebrews 10:23-25

Lyrics of Life

LISA HARPER

Description

A Psalm for Every Situation

We sometimes feel like we need to curate our emotions when we talk to God. But God wants us to come to him honestly, no matter what we are feeling or going through. Join Bible teacher Lisa Harper as she teaches from the book of Psalms looking at the variety of circumstances faced by followers of God. In this eight-session series, we learn how to find comfort in any situation based on this songbook of the people of God.

Building a Strong Foundation

Because, as individuals we make up the church, whatever we do to train ourselves will directly impact the health and effectiveness of our church as we seek to be on mission together.

Foundations is a three part course which  is a step by step approach to understanding the essentials of what it means to bea follower of Christ.

We encourage everyone at HCC to sign up for the Foundations classes beginning with Foundations 1 and progressing through sessions 2 and 3 as they are offered. We want to equip you to understand what it means to be a Christ Follower and how to live your life as a fully devoted follower of Jesus!

Maybe you haven't decided to follow Jesus, yet, but are

curious to know what this is all about. We welcome you

to come and find out!

When:   Beginning Sunday September 22nd following the morning service
